Christmas is coming. Many malls are already fully decorated. You can easily spot Christmas trees, Santa Claus, Nutcrackers, moose, snowy cottage, candy cane, ginger bread so on and so forth all over the place. What a picturesque scene. It’s making me feel exhilarating for most of the time.
My friends used to ask me why I’m so excited about Christmas. Nah.. I’m not a Christian. But I really do like Christmas. Sometime I feel like I’m even more longing for Christmas than Chinese New Year to come.
Christmas for me is a wonderful season to get close with people around and keep in touch with friends once have forgotten. I still remember there was a year I had sent more than thirty Christmas greeting cards to all the friends I cherish (Some of the cards are my handmade masterpiece ^^v). My mom has nine sisters and she is the lucky seventh (maybe that’s why I like number seven? =P). Each and every year on Christmas’s Eve all of my Ah Yees will be gathered around Big Ah Yee’s house to held a pot luck dinner. On that particular day, Ah Yees and cousins from Hong Kong, Australia, Thailand and other states will be spending their night together. It’s hardly for all relatives to gather up especially when there’re quite a number of them. So it was like just a perfect moment for everyone to enjoy all the good foods like turkey, lamb chop with peppermint sauce (yummy~ my favourite), pasta, mash potato, wine , fruitails and at the meantime chat until late at night as there is no need to worry about get up early to work on the next day.
Last Christmas- the song I like to listen on Christmas the most. Christmas Carol- the Christmas cartoon I like to watch on Christmas day the most. When I was a kids, I dreamt of snowflakes outside my house and I was watching other kids making snowman. I even once believe that Santa Claus will stop by and drop me a tiny little present inside the red sock so I hang one on the pot tree outside my room window. Cute huh? LOL.
To sum up what I like about Christmas? I like the lovely and warm feeling of Christmas. And that’s my Christmas. =). By the way, what is the first thing pop out from your mind when keep talking about Christmas now? For me, peppermint flavour candy cane for sure! =D
